Work with us
We have waste to energy projects in various stages of development throughout the UK and are always keen to speak new partners. Please get in touch for a confidential, no obligation initial discussion.
We engage with a number of different sectors:
We also provide opportunities for local authorities, landowners and waste contactors:
Landowners
Many UK landowners have the potential to develop anaerobic digestion facilities on their site and benefit from the renewable energy generated. This can be used internally or exported to the national grids (electricity or gas). The land requirement needed varies depending on the size and process of the plant but can be from as little as one acre.
We have a broad knowledge of where volumes of suitable wastes are located and are always keen to speak to any prospective ‘host sites’, about the potential to build a waste to energy plant on their land.
Local Authorities
Local Authorities are coming under increasing pressure to divert waste away from landfill in order to meet the 50% recycling target by 2020 and Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme (LATS). InSource Energy can offer local authorities a cost-effective solution for food waste treatment.
Waste management contractors
With our waste management partners, we offer complete municipal food waste collection and treatment throughout the UK. We currently have merchant anaerobic digestion projects where we are seeking additional waste and are keen to engage with waste management companies and food manufacturers who may be able to supply this additional feedstock. Benefits to the client include reduced landfill waste, reduced emissions and reduced disposal costs. Improved performance on targets such as Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme (LATS) Waste and Emissions Trading (WET), and biodegradable municipal waste (BMW) can be expected.
