How we work
As independent developers we offer bespoke anaerobic digestion solutions. We have established links with many of the Europe’s leading technology providers to ensure the best available process design for each project and waste stream, minimising risk and maximising revenue.
InSource Energy offers two financial models:
Build, Own, Operate
The client:
- invests no up-front capital
- pays only for the waste processed and the energy generated, at below-market rates
- remains focused on developing their core business
- has the opportunity to purchase the plant outright at predetermined times during the contract.
InSource Energy:
- designs, finances and installs the plant, including connections to the host site
- manages the planning process and the plant construction, taking responsibility for all safety, environmental and regulatory risks and compliance
- operates the plant, and manages all labour, payroll and workforce issues.
Build, Own, Operate, Transfer
InSource Energy designs, builds, finances and commissions the anaerobic digestion plant. We operate the plant for a period of time, taking on the performance risk and managing any operational issues, until the client wishes to proceed with purchase of the asset.
Both these approaches require no
up-front capital, and remove the need for, and risks and costs associated with:
- external designers
- installation
- connection of existing plant to new
- project management
- planning process management
- stage payments during the purchasing and build cycle
- operation and performance of the anaerobic plant
- safety, environmental and regulatory compliance
- labour, payroll and workforce issues.
From the outset InSource Energy operates in a very open way, sharing knowledge about the financial aspect of developments. Confidentiality is assured as clients provide us with data regarding their waste volumes and disposal costs, as well as their energy demands and costs. In return we model the financial aspects of the scheme.
Once the entire economics of the
project are understood the financial elements can be discussed to establish the
most appropriate rewards.
