Using our proven project development process, InSource Energy delivers the most appropriate, bespoke solution for each anaerobic digestion project. 

Our “build, own and operate” approach means that:

• As project developer we provide the project finance. This means that our clients and partners do not incur feasibility, design, capital or operating costs.
• As a developer with a proven track record in our sector we have the necessary credibility to raise third party funding. 

Our business model is flexible so that the host can invest in the project if they wish.  

Income streams

Income streams come from (depending on current situation):

• Waste gate fee
• Energy sales
• Renewable Energy subsidies (ROC’s, FiT, RHI)
• Effluent discharge savings
• Digestate sales (in the case of anaerobic digestion)

Project scenario

An InSource Energy project treating an annual 60,000m³ of effluent at 40,000 COD can expect to deliver the following benefits each year to the client:

• Up to 90% reduction in sewerage costs
• 20% estimated reduction in the cost of 300kW power and 400 kW high-grade heat
• 8,500 tonnes reduction in CO₂ emissions
